The ‘Home Alone’ House Is for Rent Just in Time for Christmas

A house is lit up with spotlights.

When it comes to beloved Christmas films, Home Alone is, arguably, one of the most popular. Now, you might be able to feel like Kevin McCallister in real life.

The McCallister house from Home Alone is going up for rent on Airbnb, so you can smack on some aftershave and catch some burglars just like Kevin.

Okay, so there’s not going to be any burglars, thankfully. However, you will get to experience Kevin’s Christmas when the listing goes live on Dec. 7 at 1 p.m. CT. You can request to rent the home on the Airbnb website, but rentals are first-come, first-serve and it”ll be based on a bit of luck if you’ll be able to snag it.

Even if your chances are on the low side when it comes to getting the rental, even just looking at the home on the website is a nostalgia-inducing, festive activity.

The house has been completely preserved as it was in the original film, and you’ll find fun easter eggs in the photos like a plush robe a la Kevin’s ensemble in the film, McCallister family photos on the walls, and a miniature of the house displayed in the living room.

If you want to see the rest of the house, you can check out the other images on the Airbnb listing, and after that, you can actually watch the film on Disney+.
