From weeknights when you just don’t feel like cooking to weekends in with a movie, food delivery is a convenient way to enjoy restaurant-quality food from home. If you’ve ever been curious about what everyone orders during their nights in, GrubHub is letting you know.

GrubHub released its Taste of 2021 and revealed that the Impossible Burger was the most ordered food item seeing a 442% increase in popularity.

If you’re not familiar with the food, the Impossible Burger is a plant-based alternative to traditional beef-based options. The patty uses soy and potato protein to create the same meaty texture as well as a molecule called heme to recreate the flavor. We’ve got a whole explainer on the burger here.

As for the other popular foods, pork tacos, chicken salad, Detroit-style pizza, and a margarita, all made the top five. While the food choices are diverse, the margarita is one of the more notable top foods as it’s the first time an alcoholic drink has broken the top five.

The report doesn’t just detail the top foods, though. It also breaks down ordering habits by meal (the Impossible Burger is apparently very popular during lunch), several major cities’ most popular orders, and the top side dishes and desserts.

If you want to find out how your orders stack up to other GrubHub users, you can find the full report here, and if you want to compare the foods to last year, you can find our write-up about 2020’s favorite here.
