Here’s How to Deep Clean Your Air Fryer

Just like your other larger appliances, the smaller items in your kitchen need a bit of cleaning love, too. That includes your air fryer.

Thanks to TikTok content creator Carolina McCauley, you can see exactly how to deep clean an air fryer, and it’s not as hard as it seems.

To get started, McCauley removes the basket and sprinkles a bit of baking soda inside before adding some dish soap. Next, she pours boiling water inside and lets the basket soak. While the water sits, she sprays a half-and-half mixture of water and vinegar into the empty shaft where the basin sits and wipes it clean with a microfiber cloth. She then wipes down the outer portions as well. As for the tight spaces, she wraps the towel around a butter knife and slides it into them.

Once the interior and exterior are clean, McCauley dumps the water still sitting in the basin and scrubs it with a dish brush. Finally, she rinses and dries the basin, reinserts it, and she’s done.
