Ever stumbled across a recipe on TikTok and knew instantly that you needed to make it? Well, Instacart is trying to make that a bit easier.
You can now order everything you need for TikTok viral recipes on Instacart and have it delivered to your door.
The new feature, called Shoppable Recipes, sees Instacart capabilities integrated into the TikTok app. A new “See Recipe” button will be featured on TikTok recipe videos. With it, creators can create their recipes, ingredient by ingredient, and link to them via an integration with the Instacart delivery service.
The new feature takes the service’s catalog of groceries and combines it with an AI-driven modeling system that finds in-stock items. Place the ingredients into a cart, order, and you can be making the recipe for dinner that night. All of the new features are powered by TikTok’s Jump program which allows creators to link to more information and other outlets. Instacart is the first grocery delivery platform to join on.
Shoppable Recipes has already rolled out to select TikTok creators, but in the coming months, the delivery service and the social media app will be expanding. Soon, more people will be able to create their own links using Shoppable Recipes.
In addition to integrating with TikTok, though, Instacart will also be partnering with Hearst Media publications likeThe Pioneer Woman, Good Housekeeping, Country Living, and Delish. The Shoppable Recipes feature will be integrated into the sites’ recipe content as well as their TikTok accounts.
The next time you’re scrolling TikTok looking for the next viral feta pasta recipe, you’ll be able to snag the ingredients yourself instantly.
