The internet’s favorite cookware brand is back with a new color. This time the launch is picking up on a major trend for kitchens.
Le Creuset’s new color is olive, and it’s a stunning shade ideal for the spring and summer months.
If you’re not familiar with Le Creuset, the cookware and bakeware brand is not only an internet favorite but a well-established brand thanks to its long history. The brand began back in 1925 and has been a staple in many kitchens since thanks to its quality, long-lasting cast iron construction, and gorgeous enamel finish that’s available in a variety of colors. Now, those hues are expanding again with olive.
According to the brand’s website, the shade was inspired by California’s olive groves, and the classic olive green shade was mixed with a yellow tone in order to “give this green a healthy glow.” The mixture is easily seen as the traditional Le Creuset ombre begins with a more yellow-based olive at the top of items like its signature dutch ovens and then darkens to a true olive at the base.
Not only is the new shade perfect for spring and summer, but it also capitalizes on a continuing trend in kitchens. Green has been forecast to be a major interior trend since 2020, and while it was initially predicted for cabinets, clearly, it’s moving beyond that into cookware. In fact, another cookware brand, Our Place, just launched an acid green shade of its famed Always Pan.

The new shade is available to shop now on the Le Creuset website, and it’s available in a variety of the brand’s most popular items like its dutch oven, signature skillet, and soup pot. You’re also able to shop the collection at the Williams Sonoma website.
Whether you’re a dedicated Le Creuset collector or just want to get in on the green kitchen trend, the brand’s latest color launch might be for you.
