Just when you thought Krispy Kreme couldn’t get any better, the famed doughnut brand crafts a brand new treat. This time, though, it’s not a doughnut.
Krispy Kreme Original Glazed ice cream is debuting in select store nationwide with expansions into more markets on the horizon.
The ice cream is crafted using the brand’s proprietary glazed doughnut recipe, but the launch doesn’t just include scoops of soft serve. There are also seven milkshakes and three waffle cone and cup flavor options.
Milkshake flavors include: Original Glazed, Strawberry Iced Sprinkled, Chocolate Iced, Lemon Filled, Cookies & KREME, Birthday Batter, and Coffee & KREME. As for cups and waffle cones, there are Original Glazed, Strawberry Iced Sprinkled and Chocolate Iced options.

The treat launched June 21 in 10 United States markets: Charlotte, Greensboro and Winston-Salem in North Carolina, Greenville, S.C., Norfolk and Newport News, VA, Charleston, W.VA, Nashville and the Tri-Cities area in Tennessee, and San Antonio, Texas.
If your city isn’t included, don’t fret. While the brand hasn’t given a firm date, a second expansion is coming. It will see Mobile and Southwest, AL, Tampa, St. Petersburg and Pensacola, FL, New Orleans, LA, Branson, MO, and Wichita, Kansas all gaining the treat. While yet to be announced, more expansions could occur after the second round.
Hey, if you’re not on the list yet, you can always make your own ice cream at home until Krispy Kreme’s arrives.
