Nothing says summer treat like homemade ice cream. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, churning can be a real chore. Thankfully, a content creator has the answer.

All you need to make homemade ice cream is a hand mixer, at least according to Sarah Crawford of Broma Bakery.

Crawford, a recipe developer, showcased her ice cream on Instagram, and it looks so easy even the most amateur of chefs could make it (including me!).

First, you’ll pour heavy cream into a large bowl and use a hand mixer to whip it into soft peaks. In a second bowl, add sweetened, condensed milk, cocoa powder, espresso powder, and vanilla extract. Whisk it all together and then whisk it together with the whipped heavy cream.

The hand mixer is key to this recipe.

You can then add some crushed Oreos to the mix if you’d like. Spoon it all into a loaf pan and freeze for 12 hours. Remove, and you’ve got homemade ice cream.

If you’ve been on the hunt for a new summer dessert to try, Crawford’s no-churn, hand mixer only ice cream might be it.
