If you took advantage of the free COVID-19 tests that the United States Postal Service distributed back in January, there’s good news. You can get more of them.
Using the same service, you can now get eight free at-home COVID-19 tests, and all you have to do is sign up online.
In January, the Biden Administration announced that it would be distributing four COVID-19 tests to each household in the United States. All you needed to do was head to covidtests.gov and sign up. Now, you can do the same thing and get eight sent directly to you.
Head to the same website, covidtests.gov, and opt to “order” your free tests. You’ll fill out the form which includes your name, e-mail, and home address, and finish by “checking out.” You won’t actually pay anything as the total will be zero. When done, you’ll get a confirmation e-mail with a tracking number.
Keep an eye out for your mail, and the tests will be delivered to your door. They come in packs of four, so you’ll actually get two deliveries. They might come on different days, but you’ll definitely have eight tests when it’s all said and done.
If you’ve been watching the developing surge of the BA.5 variant and want to stay on top of testing due to work, travel, or school requirements, these tests will certainly come in handy.
