Flavor lovers, rejoice! Well, kind of rejoice. Old Bay Hot Sauce exists! However, hold the round of applause because there is a caveat to this exciting news. The famous seafood seasoning’s spicy sauce counterpart is, in fact, real. The product launched on Jan. 29. The bad news is that it’s sold out. Don’t worry, though. We have you covered.
According to posts on the Old Bay and McCormick (Old Bay’s parent company) Instagram accounts, the sauce will be restocking soon, so you can still snag a bottle of firey sauce meets herby, peppery seasoning. In fact, you can be one of the first to know. McCormick has set up a mailing list for those who want to be sure to snatch up the product when it does eventually restock (there’s been no date just a promise of soon). Add your e-mail to the list, and you may be one of the lucky few.
If you’re thinking you can skip signing up for that list, think again. The Old Bay Hot Sauce didn’t just sell out in 24 hours. It froze the brand’s website. According to People, the website straight up crashed for a bit on launch day, and fans completely lost their chill about it. While yes, it did eventually come back up, the ultra-fast sellout rate resulted in a multitude of unhappy people, including some celebrities.
What the heck?! It’s all sold out! Fix this Old Bay! Us hot sauce lovers are NOT HAVING IT 😤 https://t.co/hI9SfupLSB

If you’re late to the Old Bay Hot Sauce party, don’t worry. You’re not too late. Head over to the McCormick website now, though, because this limited edition launch is a hot commodity (sorry, couldn’t resist that one).
