Chances are, if you’re reading this, you’re a pumpkin cold foam fan. Maybe you alternate between the beloved PSL and an iced coffee with that sweet layer of pumpkin cream cold foam that only Starbucks seems to get right. But turns out, you can make pumpkin cream cold foam yourself!

In fact, it turns out, it’s easy to make a DIY pumpkin cold foam.

Starbucks has released the recipe for it! Knowing how to do it yourself will help you save time and money, and you can enjoy it whenever you want without having to swing through the Starbucks drive-thru window.

With that in mind, let’s look at how to make pumpkin cold foam at home with just a few ingredients.

To make real Starbucks-style pumpkin cream cold foam, you’ll need to start with their elusive pumpkin spice syrup. The ingredients are:

  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 6 Tbsp pumpkin purée
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice

Stir all ingredients together in a medium saucepan and simmer for four minutes, or until all of the sugars are melted. Strain through a fine mesh strainer and pour into a container. You can keep it in the refrigerator for up to two weeks—that’s a lot of lattes!

After you have the syrup ready, you’ll need the cold foam ingredients:

  • oz Starbucks Cold Brew Pumpkin Spice Flavored Concentrate
  • oz water
  • oz 2% milk
  • Tbsp pumpkin spice syrup

Pour the cold brew concentrate into a glass filled with ice. Add water and stir to combine. Pour the milk and your pumpkin spice syrup into a container or aerator. If you’re using a foaming wand, froth the ingredients until they’re fluffy and as foamy and thick as you like. That’s the other beautiful thing about this recipe—you can tailor it to your specific tastes.

You only need a few ingredients and pieces of equipment to create your own DIY pumpkin cold foam that you can enjoy every morning this fall. Plus, now that you know the exact ingredients for Starbucks’ pumpkin spice syrup, you can even bottle it up and give it to friends and family members this holiday season!
