No, St. Patrick’s Day hasn’t been moved up on the 2020 calendar. McDonald’s is just getting in the green-colored spirit early. The annual Shamrock Shake is back at the fast-food restaurant, so if you’re a fan of the cold, minty treat, you need to head to a drive-thru immediately.

This year’s launch of the Shamrock Shake is a little different than others. The green shake is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2020, and as such, the Golden Arches really wants to celebrate — by allowed everyone to get their hands on the milkshake. The Shamrock Shake will release nationwide for the first time since 2017, and you can begin snagging it from your local Mickey D’s beginning Feb. 19.

The shake won’t be launching alone in 2020, though. The fast-food giant is also serving a new take on mint chocolate chip with a St. Patty’s Day themed McFlurry. The new launch will feature the same vanilla soft serve based blended with Shamrock flavoring, but you’ll get the addition of Oreo cookie bits to liven things up this year. Once you’ve had your fill of green beer, some nuggets, and this McFlurry will do the trick.

Of the new McFlurry, Linda VanGosen, Vice President of Menu Innovation, says, “We’ve been serving the iconic, cult-favorite Shamrock Shake for 50 years and it’s become synonymous with McDonald’s ever since. We’re excited to serve up a new way to experience the one-of-a-kind Shamrock flavor in our new OREO Shamrock McFlurry. Our chefs worked to get the perfect balance of OREO cookies and mint for this new delicious dessert. We can’t wait for customers to get a taste this spring.”

Also, Linda, can I have your job?
