Starbucks has been in the news frequently lately, because for millions of Americans coffee is life, and a lot of their coffee comes from the ubiquitous chain. To help keep the folks at the frontline caffeinated, they’re now offering free coffee for healthcare workers and first responders.

This means doctors, nurses, and hospital staff, as well as police and firefighters, can all take advantage of the freebie as they continue to work on the frontlines of the pandemic. From now until May 3rd, they can receive a tall hot or iced brewed coffee on the house.

The decision to give coffee to frontline workers is just the latest in the steps Starbucks has taken during the COVID-19 pandemic. Just a few days ago, the coffee company moved all of its services to drive-thru only as a way to prevent the spread of the virus. In addition to eliminating in-cafe dining, the brand will also be offering 30 days of disaster pay to employees who no longer feel safe coming to work.

If you are a healthcare worker or first responder, thank you, and go get your free coffee.
