Social distancing has really put a damper on the summer travel season. However, these virtual tours of the world’s most beautiful libraries is a way to get out without, well, getting out.

Thanks to the power of YouTube, there are several libraries you can tour online. The Bodleian Library at Oxford University in England has a full 360-degree tour online that fans of Harry Potter will love.

The building served as the inspiration for the library at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy. If you want something less traditional, you can check out the walking tour of the Seattle Public Library with its neon-lit escalators and modern exposed sky ceiling.

Libraries aren’t the only places you can visit virtually, though. Major museums like the Louvre and the Guggenheim are offering online tours. If you’re more of the outdoorsy type, there are even national parks tours you can take online. Whether you’re an avid reader, a lover of nature, a consumer of art, or all three, virtual tours are a great option while social distancing this summer.

If your mind is stuck on libraries now that we’ve talked them up though, it’s time to hop over to Apartment Therapy where they’ve rounded up even more beautiful library tours for you to check out.
