If you’ve been planning any decor updates or at-home upgrades, now may be the time to make them. Bed, Bath & Beyond is closing 200 stores, and your location could be one of them.
The home goods store cited the ongoing coronavirus pandemic as the cause for its store closures, but the process will be done over time. Throughout the next two years, 21% of the brand’s locations will be shuttered including some of its other brand properties like World Market. According to their press release, low sales numbers and temporary store closures led to a loss of revenue that accelerated the closures. While the brand had already planning to close stores in 2020, more have now been added.
You do, however, still have time to shop. The closures won’t happen all at once. Forty are closing in 2020 with more to come in subsequent years. You might want to check with your local Bed, Bath & Beyond for the details on if they are closing soon before heading out for one final shopping trip.
