If you and your partner are from different cultural backgrounds and are looking for the perfect baby name, there’s now the perfect website for that. There is a baby name generator that helps you find monikers that work for two different cultures or languages.

The generator has taken off on Reddit thanks to its creator, Bemmu Sepponen, who posted about his creation. He explains on the website, MixedName.com, “When our Japanese-Finnish son was born, we wanted to find a name that would work in both languages. To help with the search, I wrote a simple tool for personal use to look through all the names in both Japanese and Finnish, finding ones which appear in both.” Now the tool is available online for anyone to use.

Once on the site, simply choose the two languages or cultures where you’d like name options from as well as gender identity, and the tool will work to compile a list and give you the subsection of names that overlap. Here’s an example of what it would look like if you were searching for a male Arabic-English name:

It’s truly as simple as that. If you’ve been looking for the perfect baby name, the easy to use tool may be the answer.
