You might not be ready to decorate your home for the holidays yet, but that doesn’t mean you can’t start perusing inspiration online. One of the most recent trends to go viral is crafting your own giant decorative Christmas lollipops.
After TikTok content creator, @louisianawoman1, found a tutorial for the giant candy on YouTube (although there’s no link to the original craft), she decided to re-create it. To create the piece of decorative candy, she uses two pool noodles of the same color, some tape, a hot glue gun, plastic wrap, ribbon, and a ground stake.
She glues the pool noodles together, end to end, and then wraps the tape around them in a diagonal, peppermint-stripe pattern. Then, she starts rolling the noodles up and hot glues them in place as she goes.
When it’s all done, the noodles look just like the top of a lollipop. She cuts a hole in the bottom for the stake before wrapping it in plastic wrap (so it looks like candy packaging). Finally, she ties a big red bow around it.
