If you’re looking to increase the value of your home, you may immediately think of kitchen upgrades. But, turns out, there’s a simple bathroom upgrade that’ll get you serious bang for your buck on resale.
While painting and refurbishing cabinets and installing new hardware is always a good idea, there is one accessory that people appear to gravitate toward—mirrors. PureWow looked at Houzz’s 2020 bathroom trends report and discovered at three out of four people survey wanted to switch out their bathroom mirrors. As for the reason, there could be several, but one of the most likely appears to be the way mirrors help to expand a space. Because bigger mirrors reflect more light, installing larger options can make a bathroom appear more bright and open giving the illusion of a more sizable bathroom.
As for the types of mirrors people are looking for, modern is more in than the farmhouse style that has been popular over the last few years. Hanging styles, tech-inclusive options, or pieces with LED lights built-in are all good options if you’re looking to add a bit to your resale value.
Even if you’re not looking to sell, though, why not make a tiny tweak that’ll have a big impact?
