Work looks very different in 2020, and things are unlikely to change much as we move into 2021. This means you’ll likely be thinking about your home office, and the major trend next year will be color.
MyDomaine spoke with several interior designs about what we can expect in the home office space in 2021. According to them, there are a lot of new trends, including practical things, like comfy chairs, as well as creating zones that separate work from home. They also said bright, bold colors will be big for offices in 2021.
Heather Goerzen, who works in creative and design at Havenly, explained: “With the recognition that we’re in this WFH phase for a while longer, 2021 is an invitation to bring more joy and cheer into your home office with a more playful and vibrant palette. Much like the rest of home design, we expect to see a rise in colorful home office accents, from bold rugs to statement chairs.”
However, Goerzen also made it clear you don’t have to go out and buy some orange paint. But an orange chair? A bright-blue print? Some yellow desk accessories? Why not?
No matter how you do it, adding some bold colors to your office will be so 2021.
