Apparently Starbucks Is Having a Black Friday Sale

Surprise! There’s an unexpected retailer hosting a sale this holiday season. Starbucks’ Black Friday and Cyber Monday are a-go, and the deals are pretty good.

The popular coffee-shop chain isn’t exactly the first place you think of when planning out your holiday shopping. Instead, you’re probably busy checking ads at Target or Walmart (and who can blame you with those sales), but while you’re perusing the virtual shelves there or doing some in-person shopping, you may want to drop by Starbucks. Starting Nov. 24, the brand will be offering a plethora of discounts and promotions loyalists can snag.

First up, the brand will reduce the price of its sparkly hot tumblers down to just $9.95 each. (These glittering travel mugs usually retail for $14.95.) The offer is good on any of the brand’s festive colors, like pink or gold. But if you’re less about drinkware and more about the drinks themselves, you can take advantage of the bonus stars event which runs from Nov. 24 through Nov. 27. During this time, if you download the Starbucks app, become a rewards member, and spend $20, you’ll then earn 50 bonus points, which translates to a free brewed hot coffee, bakery item, or hot tea.

As for Cyber Monday, Starbucks is running a buy one, get one deal. On Nov. 30, rewards members who order ahead and opt for a hand-crafted drink (so not just traditionally brewed coffee or tea) in a grande sized drink or larger will get a free drink coupon redeemable the next week (Dec. 7-Dec. 13). Then, if you’re still doing some gift shopping, when you buy a $20 gift card, you’ll be credited a $3 reward.

If you hadn’t planned to give the gift of Starbucks this season, maybe you should.
