Holiday 2020: 11 Gifts Perfect for Your Favorite Homebody

Gifts from left to right: a diffuser, a candle, and a sound bar for a television.
Vitruvi/Cancelled Plans/Bose

Buying a gift for the homebody in your life? Whether that’s a friend, significant other, or family member, any of the options below will make them feel extra cozy and comfy.

It’s safe to say we’re all pretty much homebodies now—or at least we’ve been forced to be, for the time being, thanks to the pandemic. Still, we all know at least one person who loves being home on their own and would prefer to do that over any kind of social engagement. So why not buy them a gift that reflects that?

The present picks below are sure to give them comfort when they’re curled up on the couch or just hanging out baking and watching movies on a weekend night. And they’re pretty versatile, so they’ll really work for just about anyone.

Vitruvi Home Diffuser

Candles are great, but a diffuser can be a bit more convenient. This Vitruvi Home Diffuser makes for a really nice gift, because not only is it beautifully designed, but it also works quite well. It’s a hand-crafted ceramic diffuser that can be used for up to seven hours (or you can turn it on at intervals), and it’s really easy to clean. Get them this along with a few essential oils to keep their home smelling fresh and clean no matter what.

Bodum Pavina Glass

Mugs are always a good go-to gift for a homebody, but instead of giving them another one with a fun saying on it, opt for these sleek Bodum Pavina Glasses. These glasses are my personal favorites for coffee or tea: They’re double-walled, so they keep the heat trapped inside and keep my hot beverages from getting cold too quickly.

I love how durable these are, but I also appreciate how aesthetically pleasing they are as well. They’re definitely a nice statement glass but are also sturdy enough to be used every day.

The double-wall glass makes these great for hot beverages.

ChappyWrap Blanket

A blanket is the perfect gift for someone who spends a lot of time at home, especially as the colder months roll in. This ChappyWrap Blanket is a personal favorite of mine: It’s very soft and warm, but it’s also surprisingly durable. It’s safe to throw in the washing machine and the dryer for easy, convenient cleaning, and it wears very well. It’s also so pretty (especially in this holiday-esque snowflake print), which makes it double as decor as well.

ChappyWrap Blankets also come in three different sizes in case you wanted to get your friend something larger or smaller. This one only comes in the Original Size, but you can look at their other options for different sizing.

Bose Smart SoundBar 300

If they’re spending a lot of time at home, chances are good that they’re also spending a lot of time watching TV or movies or just listening to music. The Bose Smart SoundBar 300 is a really nice luxury gift to give someone you’re close to.

This sleek soundbar isn’t an eyesore, and it delivers excellent sound, with lots of clarity and a rich bass. It’s also very convenient to use, with built-in Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for hands-free voice control as well as the exclusive Bose Voice4Video technology that expands those capabilities and allows you to completely control your soundbar, TV, and cable/satellite box with one voice command. It also connects via Bluetooth to Spotify or your phone.

This soundbar delivers excellent sound and has a sleek, minimalist look.

Softwear Woman’s Hoodie

Softwear

I am here to announce that I have discovered the softest loungewear known to humankind: Softwear. This stuff lives up to its name, as it’s incredibly, well, soft, and just so comfortable. It feels like some odd-sounding combination of plush silk that’s just so lovely to wear, and the weight is great as well: It’s lightweight, so it’s not too hot, but also cozy enough to keep on all day.

I love the hoodie (clearly), and find that it’s also slim enough to wear with jeans while running errands rather than being super bulky and shapeless. If you want to round out the set, you can add matching sweats. There are also hoodie and jogger options for men as well.

Catalonia Sherpa Wearable Blanket Poncho

Is this Catalonia Sherpa Wearable Blanket Poncho a little silly? Sure. Is it also very cozy and extremely convenient? Definitely. It’s essentially a giant poncho made with super soft sherpa, and it’s just as comfy as it seems.

That’s because it actually stays on. Wrapping yourself in a blanket feels great—until you have to actually get off the couch and move around. But this one won’t fall off your shoulders right away thanks to the magnetic snaps at the neck. It’s long and plush, and very warm. You can also undo the snap and just use it as a regular blanket as well.

Weezie Long Robe

I’ve owned a surprising amount of robes in my lifetime, and Weezie’s Long Robe is easily my favorite. Made up of a fluffy terrycloth, it’s warm and comfy, and long enough to keep you totally covered up on chilly days. It’s perfect for slipping on right after a shower or when you get out of bed in the morning (Or you can wear it all day.).

It also has a lot of little features that really make it stand out. For me, the fact that the sash is attached at the back is a game-changer (I have no idea why every robe isn’t made this way.), but I also love the stylish piping on the edges and the buttons on the sleeves that keep them from always getting in your way.

1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle for Adults

Watching TV and reading books can get kind of boring after a while. Give your friend something fun and entertaining to keep them busy, like this 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle. There are nine different design options, all of which are complicated enough to keep them working on it for at least a few days (if not weeks). Puzzles are such a great way to pass the time, and these are challenging enough to never be boring.

Cancelled Plans Candle

A true homebody is the type of person who only pretends to be disappointed when plans fall through—so why not get them this cheeky Cancelled Plans Candle? This candle features a minimalist design and is made of a clean blend of coconut and apricot wax for a fresh, simple scent. It’s also just an adorable piece of home decor that they’ll want to keep out for whenever they do have company.

Royal Craft Wood Luxury Bath Caddy Tray

A tray like this Royal Craft Wood Luxury Bath Caddy Tray is essential for anyone who loves taking relaxing baths at home. It makes it so easy to spend tons of time in the tub, soaking and taking a break whenever necessary.

This tray has room for so much: There’s a space specifically for a wine glass, some slates for a book or tablet to be propped up on (along with a back holder to keep them from falling in the water), a candle or cup slot, and detachable trays for the extras as well as an accompanying free soap tray.

Hunt a Killer

A murder mystery subscription box is a fun and unique gift option that will definitely keep someone entertained, even if they’re just home on their own. Hunt a Killer is a really popular one that allows you to sift through evidence, decode ciphers, put together clues, and solve a crime on your own.

With a subscription, you get a new box each month that offers new clues and important pieces of the puzzle. It’s such an exciting and different way to spend your time!
