12 Healthy Snacks to Buy for Your Toddler that Are Really Convenient

Toddlers are always hungry and down for a snack. These healthy options will keep them happy and full!

In a perfect world, we’d all have time to make homemade snacks and treats for our little ones whenever they want something. Unfortunately, that world doesn’t exist. When it’s snack time, many parents just grab something from a box to give to their child, rather than slicing fruits and veggies into bite-size pieces.

Sure, it’s best to feed your toddler fresh produce or homemade baked goods that don’t include a lot of sugar, but it’s just not always the most practical option. Fortunately, there are plenty of genuinely healthy and easy snacks for tots you can purchase at the grocery store (or on Amazon).

The options below are not only delicious, but you also won’t feel guilty for loading your child with sugar (although, for the record, there’s nothing wrong with an unhealthy snack every once in a while).

Once Upon a Farm Organic Kale and Green Apples Pouch

Refrigerated Once Upon A Farm pouches are the closest you can get to serving your little one fresh fruits and vegetables. Made of USDA organic, non-GMO ingredients, they’re also cold-pressed to lock in nutrients and preserve taste and texture.

We recommend using these as a convenient substitute for purees. They make really handy, healthy snacks. We particularly love the kale and green apple because it helps your toddler get greens in, but there are so many great flavors, including non-dairy smoothies and yogurts.

Stonyfield Organic YoBaby Plain Whole Milk Yogurt

If you’re looking for yogurt, our pediatrician recommended Stonyfield Organic YoBaby specifically. The plain option is great, because there’s no added sugar, and then you can easily add more flavor and sweetness with fresh fruit.

These little containers make a great breakfast or lunch, but they’re also ideal for snacks when your kiddo is extra hungry.

Cerebelly Organic Blueberry Banana Sweet Potato Smart Bars

Cerebelly’s new organic Smart Bars are an excellent on-the-go snack for toddlers who can chew. They’re small enough for little bellies, but filling enough to keep them satisfied. They’re also packed with brain-supporting nutrients, like zinc, iron, and vitamin C.

The ingredients are clean and easy to read, and there’s a decent amount of protein with no added sugar (although, keep in mind, sugar might be in the fruits). As a bonus, the Peppa Pig collaboration makes the box fun!

MySuperSnack Organic Granola Bites

The MySuperSnack Organic Granola Bites are another of our favorites! Each bag contains six bite-size granola “cookies” that are easy for toddlers to hold and bite into. The ingredients aren’t quite as clean as some of the other options on our list.

Still, overall, these are a pretty healthy option with fiber, protein, and a low sugar count.

Sprout Organic Curlz

Sprout Organic Curlz are made from plant-derived ingredients like organic chickpeas, lentils, and sweet potatoes. They’re small, crunchy, and really easy for toddlers to eat on their own.

The container is also resealable for on-the-go snacking, and there are lots of different combinations of flavors and ingredients. These are highly rated due to how light and airy they are, without a lot of sweetness.

Earth’s Best Organic Sesame Street Toddler Crunchin’ Grahams

Toddlers like graham crackers, but them up for smaller toddlers can be super messy. These Earth’s Best Organic Sesame Street Toddler Crunchin’ Grahams come in toddler-friendly sticks that make it so much easier for them to be eaten. Sesame Street fans will also love the box.

Nature’s Bakery Fig Bar

Nature’s Bakery Fig Bars are made with whole grains and real fruit. They also don’t contain ingredients like dairy, soy, or high-fructose corn syrup. They also taste really, really good (like, you’ll be stealing them from your kiddo), and are very filling. They’re a little high in sugar, but if you’re cool with that, these make a great afternoon snack or lunch addition.

We can’t say enough about Emmy’s Organic Coconut Cookies! These little coconut macaroons are sweet and delicious. They’re like eating a small dessert that’s not bad for you.

The ingredients are minimal and straightforward. There’s not a ton of sugar, and they’re soft enough for even little toddlers to enjoy. They come in a variety of wonderful flavors, but the dark cacao is especially amazing.

Whisps Cheddar Cheese Crisps

Cheese is a great snack for toddlers because it’s nutritious and full of protein. When you don’t have any real cheese on hand, though, these Cheddar Cheese Crisps by Whisps will do the trick.

They’re light, airy, and crispy, and don’t taste or feel too greasy. The only downside is the amount of sodium, so you might not want to overdo it. However, they’re the perfect occasional snack.

RX Bar Kids

RX Bar Kids are tasty and sweet fruit bars made of four core ingredients: dates, whole grain oats, egg whites, and coconut oil. They also contain a few simple ingredients to give them some extra flavor.

However, there’s no added sugar and they have 5 grams of protein. There a few flavors you can choose from. Plus, they’re small and easy to take anywhere.
