This Is the Most Popular Dog Name of 2020 According to Rover

Is your pup’s name among the most popular in the country? You can find out on Rover! The pet care service finder examined its database of names to come up with the top male and female dog names of 2020.

According to Rover’s research, Bella topped the list for female dogs, while Max was the top choice for males. Other common names for females include Luna, Lucy, Daisy, and Lola. For the boys, Charlie, Cooper, Buddy, and Milo have a lot of fans.

Rover also narrowed the list even further! You can choose some of the biggest cities in the U.S. to see what the top monikers are in those areas.

Rover also examined trends and found that pop culture plays a role in what folks name their pets. Celebrity couple names, like Chrissy and Legend, Blake and Gwen, and Giselle and Tom, are on the rise.

Of course, in 2020, you likely binged Tiger King on Netflix, and the name trends show it: Carol (as in Baskin) has also seen a 46% increase.
