Charcuterie boards have been getting quite the makeover this year, and chocolate charcuteries are set to join charcuterie chalets and charcuterie boards as a new twist on the trend. Instead of filling a board with sliced meats, cheeses, crackers, and other savory snacks, a chocolate charcuterie board satisfies your sweet tooth with all your favorite treats—and you can easily make one yourself.

How to Make a Chocolate Charcuterie Board

Putting together a chocolate charcuterie board is actually a pretty simple DIY process! Just like arranging a regular charcuterie board, it’s all about finding the mix of textures and flavors that you like best. Typically, a chocolate charcuterie board features sturdy elements like cookies and crackers alongside candies, fruits, pretzels, marshmallows, and/or nuts, plus sweet dips like melted chocolate, caramel, yogurt, peanut butter, and more.

Start with gathering your favorite ingredients and preparing them however you like. That may mean unwrapping and perhaps breaking or chopping candy, slicing fruit, preparing dips, or even baking some homemade treats to go on the board. Remember, a charcuterie board is all about having delicious flavors packed into small bites, so make sure that everything on the board can be easily picked up by hand and eaten in a few bites.

From there, it’s all about the arrangement! There’s no right or wrong way to arrange a chocolate charcuterie board—you may want to group all the pieces of one treat together, mix things around in several repeated rows, or create a pattern from your own imagination. Truly, any ingredients and any arrangements go!
