If you’ve heard of ASMR, don’t worry. A holiday ASMR room isn’t where someone pretends to chew Christmas cookies in your ear. Instead, it’s the latest and greatest thing to come from YouTube, and it may just replace your festive yule log.

These holiday ASMR rooms are also referred to as ambient rooms, and essentially they create cozy environments using photos and illustrations then overlay the image with classic holiday sounds like a crackling fireplace, a windy snowstorm, or holiday music. You find one for just about any occasion on YouTube. But if you need a bit of help, these five options are good places to start.

For Work

Well, here’s the thing. You’re probably not hanging out in an office right now, and you may not be able to sit in your favorite coffee shop to work for a few hours. Enter the holiday coffee shop ASMR room. This scene features a festive backdrop inspired by Starbucks, the sounds of people chattering, and the relaxing noise of brewing coffee.

For a Chill Day at Home

Prepping for the big day and want to feel festive? This cozy, cabin-inspired room features a daytime scene, bright, white-washed wood, and cream and golden decor all with the sound of a fireplace and classic Christmas music in the background.

For Those Who Don’t Celebrate

Not everyone celebrates Christmas, and there are still plenty of winter-themed ASMR rooms to choose from. This scene has no holiday music but does feature the whipping wind of a blizzard and the crackling wood of a burning fire.

For Christmas Movie Lovers

Some people prefer to have Christmas films playing in the background, but if you find the dialogue and scenes distracting, this Home Alone themed ASMR room will give you the back drop of Kevin’s home with some relaxing Christmas music and a bit of snow.

For Christmas Eve

If you’re looking for something classic, this nighttime scene of a giant Christmas tree, a roaring fire, and a greenery and light embellished mantle place is perfect for Christmas Eve.

The next time you need background noise or help getting in the holiday spirit, YouTube’s ASMR rooms may be the way.
