Whether it’s a non-traditional choice like Die Hard or a constant classic like White Christmas, everyone seems to have a favorite Christmas movie. But how does yours stack up against the rest of the country?
Website Comparitech used IMDB’s list of the 50 Most Popular Christmas Films and compared the titles by state using Google Trends in order to create its list. The results feature both old favorites like It’s a Wonderful Life and Miracle on 54th Street and new releases such as 2019’s Noelle and the Netflix original The Knight Before Christmas. The overall winner, though? McCauley Caulkin’s Home Alone. As for second place, it was a three-way tie between Bruce Willis’ Die Hard, Christmas Rush, and The Polar Express.

Where does your favorite movie come in? Do you agree with your state’s favorite? You can check out the entire map as well as a chart that lets you organize the favorites by state, date, title, and IMDB rating over on the Comparitech website.
