If you’re looking for cookie dough ice cream, you’re probably not planning on actually baking the ingredient. But it turns out, you can—at least when it comes to Ben & Jerry’s.
TikToker @gabesco (who has a casual 2.4 million followers) decided to find out whether the cookie dough in Ben & Jerry’s is actually bakeable. To do so, he first melted down the ice cream a bit so that he could extract all of the pieces in the pint. Once he’d removed them all, he finished the ice cream (duh), pounded the pieces together to create one big ball of dough, plopped it onto a cookie sheet, and baked it for 12 minutes. The result? An actual, real-life cookie. And, according to him, it tasted good, too!

Sure, if you really want a cookie, and you realize that there’s some leftover chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream in the freezer, you can bake it. For those who’d rather just whip up their own dough, though, there’s no shortage of Christmas cookie recipes here at LifeSavvy—and even some no-bake options if you’re feeling particularly low maintenance.
