Fast-food chicken sandwiches have been a hot menu item for the last few years. With Popeyes’ now-iconic version making headlines, and the ever-popular Chick-fil-A option, it’s a tight race for the best. Now, McDonald’s is giving diners even more options.
On Feb. 24, the restaurant will release three new chicken sandwiches. The first is a classic Crispy Chicken with pickles on a potato bun.
The second is the Spicy Chicken, which features the same fried chicken breast as the Crispy sandwich, but also features a new Spicy Pepper Sauce for an added kick.
Finally, there’s the Deluxe Chicken that comes topped with shredded lettuce, Roma tomato, and mayo.
“We’ve heard our customers loud and clear,” said Linda VanGosen, vice president of menu innovation at McDonald’s, in a press release. “We know they’re craving more chicken options. We’re confident all chicken fans — from traditionalists to spice enthusiasts — will discover a new menu favorite they’ll come back for time and time again.”
