With home still the center of, well, everything, people are looking for ways to make their space not only functional, but soothing. Stained glass light bulbs are the latest viral décor trend that could bring some much-needed cozy lighting to your home.
Folks on TikTok have been posting before and after lighting videos, in which they switch out a typical light bulb out for one with a stained glass pattern. The bulbs featured in the videos all seem to be from GE, and they’re available on Amazon.
The effect they create is worth every penny. It’s created by the sections of the glass that have been painted with primary colors, such as blue, red, and yellow. When turned on, the colors are diffused over walls and ceilings, creating fun (and soothing) lighting that’s markedly more interesting than your standard, warm-toned white bulb.

The bulbs work in all lamps, but they seem to be particularly successful when used in one with a clear glass shade (like Edison-bulb-inspired lights) or chandelier-style pieces.
