As we all move through different levels of pandemic-induced lockdowns, we sometimes just need a little feel-good moment courtesy of the internet. This video of a mom and her son tap dancing will most likely do the trick!

The video was uploaded to Twitter by Lizzi Gee, an accomplished choreographer, who used her own talents to bond with her 8-year-old son, Rufus. She started teaching him how to tap dance nine months ago during a lockdown order and, based on the video, he’s a quick study.

In the nearly one-minute clip below, Gee and Rufus run through matching choreography, and the child has some serious moves. At the end of the routine, both he and his mom grin as they finish in tandem.

Yes, it’s as cute as it sounds.

At this writing, the video had been viewed 1.3 million times and had over 76,000 likes. One of the people who enjoyed the video also happens to be Rufus’ teacher who commented, “Turns out that you’re as brilliant in the classroom as you are out of it.”

Gee decided to post the video to bring everyone a little cheer.

“We hope it makes you smile,” she stated in her Twitter post. “Tap is joy in our eyes and has been our escapism.”

The adorable video is sure to do the same for you.
