What kind of jam do you prefer on your peanut butter and jelly sandwich? Jif recently sponsored a survey to find out all about Americans’ peanut butter preferences, including which jelly they prefer. As we all know, there are only two real contenders here: strawberry and grape. So, which jelly won?

Jif teamed up with OnePoll and surveyed 2,000 Americans about their peanut butter preferences. The results revealed everything from the personality differences between those who prefer crunchy or smooth, to which jelly most folks prefer.

If you guessed that grape is the most popular jelly, you’re right! Of the 2,000 respondents, the majority said grape jam is the only way to go when it comes to PB&J.

However, the survey was most interested in discovering the differences between people who preferred crunchy or smooth peanut butter. It found that those who opted for crunchy were more likely to be extroverted night owls, while smooth peanut butter lovers were more likely to be introverted, morning people.
