Prefer almond milk in your coffee? Or, maybe you’re more of a coconut fan. Either way, due to high demand, there’s now yet another dairy substitute you can try at Starbucks. Evidently, oat milk has been requested by customers for quite some time.
Starbucks tested an oat-based dairy substitute at 1,300 locations back in January 2020, but there was always an expansion slated for spring of this year. Oatly brand oat milk rolled out at Starbucks nationwide on March 2.
If you take a dairy substitute in your usual iced coffee or latte and want to try something new, or if you’re already a dedicated oat milk fan, it’s now officially available. But Starbucks is also celebrating with some new, oat-milk-based drinks.
First, there’s the Iced Brown Sugar Oat Milk Shaken Espresso, which features the brand’s blonde espresso roast, cinnamon, brown sugar, and oat milk. The second new addition is a hot Honey Oat Milk Latte, featuring the same blonde espresso paired with honey both in the drink and some toasted on top.
The new menu items are all now available at your local Starbucks.
