If you thought Europe was the only place you could see castles, think again! There’s at least one in every U.S. state, and one company has created a map of them all.
HomeAdvisor wanted to showcase American architecture, and what better way to do so than via the country’s greatest estates? The site compiled a list of every castle nationwide, then selected one for each state. The result is a master list of must-visit locations for architecture lovers.
Even if you’re not an architecture buff, you’ll still want to check out the illustrations on the list. The company commissioned drawings of all 50 castles, including Mosher in Alabama, which basically looks like Giselle’s tower in Enchanted.
Meanwhile, the Ice Castles of New Hampshire would really make Elsa jealous. For your touring convenience, HomeAdvisor also shrunk down the drawings to create a handy illustrated map.
Whether you’re teaching your kids about architecture or planning a future road trip, you can check out all of the castles here.
