If you’re not exactly known for your green thumb, but would still like a garden, don’t despair! You can get an herb garden starter pack at your local Costco.
Shivani Shah posted on Instagram that the big-box retailer has four-packs of herbs for those who need a bit of extra help getting their garden started. The Instagram story is saved to her “Costco” highlights section.
The four-pack in her image contains oregano, rosemary, basil, and thyme in individual disposable planters ready to be transplanted to your herb garden. And the best part? The packs cost just $13.99, but you’ll be able to glean seasonings for your meals from them for months.
Unfortunately, the packs aren’t available on the Costco website. You’ll have to call or head to your local store to see if any are available.

To maintain your new herb garden, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, you’ll need to plan them in a location that gets about six hours of sunlight per day. You’ll also need to dig a hole about twice the width of the roots.
Also, if you put two in the same planter, make sure they’re at least 18 inches apart so they can grow freely. You’ll need to give them about an inch of water each week.
That’s it—you’ll never have to buy herbs again! Be sure to check out these tips if you want to expand your garden.
