Sorry, baked feta. There’s a new viral pasta in town, but it’s just as cheesy.
The internet is enamored with “honeycomb” pasta. The name might make you think this is some sort of noodle-based dessert, but think again. It’s actually cannelloni or rigatoni noodles stuffed with string cheese.
TikTok content creator, Anna Rothfuss, received nearly 12 million views on her honeycomb pasta video (see below). To make it, she places the noodles upright in a springform pan and then inserts string cheese into the holes (hence, the “honeycomb” moniker).
After they’re fully stuffed, Rothfuss adds pasta sauce, beef, and more shredded cheese on top, then bakes it. When it’s done, it miraculously stays in place and she cuts it like a pie.
