Anyone who owns a Swiffer WetJet is familiar with the cleaning-solution-replacement process. Eventually (and always mid-mop), your Swiffer runs out of liquid cleaner and you’re off to buy a replacement bottle. Thanks to a new TikTok hack, though, you’ll never have to buy a refill again.
Unfortunately, you can’t refill your Swiffer with any floor cleaner you might have on hand, as the bottles are glued shut. Until now, this meant you had to purchase a brand-new replacement bottle specifically for your WetJet.
Thanks to @chrissyvroom4 on TikTok, though, you’ll never have to do this again! In the video below, you’ll see her heat up a mug of water for two minutes. She then sticks soaks the lid of the Swiffer bottle in the water for about 30 seconds to loosen the glue and then the lid pops right off.
