These Vegan Purple Cookies Taste Like Blueberry Muffins

A bowl of berries, a mixing bowl of purple ingredients, and purple cookies on a baking sheet.

There’s no shortage of food hacks on TikTok, but the latest might be one of the most colorful. Bright, purple cookies have taken over the social media site, and you can make them with just a few ingredients.

These Barney-colored concoctions come courtesy of food blogger, Justine Snacks. She took to TikTok to unveil the bright purple cookies she created with the U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council. The result is, essentially, a blueberry-muffin cookie that also happens to take on a bold hue thanks to the fruit.

In the video below, Justine reveals you only need six ingredients: flour, baking powder, salt, unsalted vegan butter, granulated sugar, blueberries, and white chocolate chips.

You then combine the dry ingredients, thaw the frozen blueberries a bit, mash them, then add them to the wet ingredients. Once combined, flip in the dry ingredient to form a dough, add the chips, and you’ve got these gorgeous viral cookies.
