A Bar Cart In the Bedroom? One Designer Says Yes

There are certain things you expect to see in a bedroom: the bed, nightstands, a dresser. However, one HGTV designer has quite an unexpected suggestion, and it might be just the thing if you enjoy a nightcap.

Many people have bar carts in their living room or basement—particularly those who like to entertain. With a plethora of style options, ranging from deco to modern, they are a chic way to display those gorgeous bottles of spirits and shiny accessories.

While having a cart in an area where you prepare food and entertain makes sense, HGTV’s 50K Three Ways host, Tiffany Brooks, said you should actually consider placing one in your bedroom.

According to Brooks, a bedroom bar cart is perfect for those who like to “retreat” when they get home from a busy day. And this feature expands all the other conveniences already found in your bedroom.

If your nightly routine involves a bath in your ensuite, a bit of reading, or even just some time in front of the TV, a nightcap could help you wind down even more. Even if you’re not a nightcap person, bar carts make attractive coffee and tea stations.

And, after you pick out your new bar cart, it’s time to stock it!
