If you’ve been on the internet at all in 2021, there’s a good chance that you’ve seen multiple food videos go viral on TikTok, but which was the most popular?
Wren Kitchens looked at Google search results as well as total overall views on popular TikTok food videos to compile a list of the top 10 viral videos as of June 2021. You probably won’t be surprised to learn that feta pasta topped the list.
The recipe has over 1.12 million searches, but the most impressive part of the video (other than the recipe itself, obviously) is its number of views. According to this review, it’s amassed 947.9 million views on TikTok so far.
If you’re not one of the millions who’s already seen the video, part of the recipe’s popularity lies in how easy it is to make.
To create the original feta pasta, you just add some whole grape tomatoes to a baking dish, and then mix in salt, pepper, and olive oil. Slide a block of feta into the center and bake it.
While that bakes, you can make the pasta of your choosing. Remove the feta and tomatoes from the oven, add some basil and garlic and your cooked pasta, and then mix it all together.
