If you wanna add some pizzazz to a wooden fence, you might first think of paint, stain, or flower boxes. But what about marbles? Yes, you read that right. Believe it or not, marble fencing is all the rage on TikTok, and it looks pretty cool.

Jami Taylor (@skyandforestherbs) fitted marbles in a polka-dot pattern all over her garden’s wooden fence. In her original video (which was posted less than a week ago and already has over 3 million views), Taylor showcases the feature as the sun streams through the colored marbles lighting up the path in her backyard.

Since that video, people have been asking for closer views, and she even posted a clip of the fence at night as light shown through the glass. While the project looks as though it might be overwhelming, the how-to is surprisingly easy.

If you have a wooden fence and want to add a bit of interest, all you need is a drill bit and some clear glue (oh, and marbles, of course). In her how-to, Taylor explains that she simply uses the drill bit to create a hole, applies a bit of the clear glue with a wooden stick to spread it around the hole, then slips the marble inside.

Yes, it can be time-consuming, but the result is pretty magical.

Taylor’s garden, which she also showcases on TikTok, is also pretty impressive. If a marble fence seems like too much work, you might want to try these cozy outdoor additions to dress up your outdoor space instead.
