A little less than a year ago, Netflix’s Bridgerton took over the world. As time has passed, the show’s influence can still be felt, or, more accurately, seen—in home décor.

According to some experts, Bridgerton-inspired pieces are the major stars of fall décor. When asked to weigh in on some of the season’s biggest design trends, Anna Brockway, co-founder and president of Chairish, highlighted the ornate and romantic designs seen on the show. She specifically cited “contemporary takes on Old World” as a means of achieving the style.

“Cabinet of curiosity-inspired pieces, like intaglios, ornamentation, verdant florals, and découpage add whimsy to your space,” said Brockway. “Swirl together just a touch of Victorian style, striking contemporary colors, and a dash of the macabre, and this thought-provoking trend takes shape.”

This ornate mirror is a great example of 'Bridgerton' style.

If you’re on board with the Bridgerton style, you can incorporate some of Brockway’s other recommendations for an antique-meets-contemporary look.

“A fabulous mirror adds sparkle to a space and an interesting shape adds some punch,” said Brockway.

Ornate options with scalloped edges, like the one recommended above, are perfect for embracing the “Old World” aesthetic and giving a room a piece of interest.
