Washing your walls is probably not the first thing you think of when making your to-do list. At least, it’s not for me. But a new cleaning hack might make the process easier and could have wall washing popping up on your to-do list more often.

TikTok content creator Azure MacCannell uses a dust mop and a homemade solution to clean her walls, and the results are awe-inspiring.

In the video, MacCannell dips the mop into a sink filled with a cleaning solution. Unfortunately, MacCannell doesn’t reveal the exact solution she uses. However, if you want to recreate this hack, you can use a few drops of Castille soap (which is our suggestion for wall cleaning) to keep things gentle.

Once the mop is soaked, MacCannell simply uses the extended handle and scrubs the walls with the base of the mop. As she brushes, marks, scuffs, and discoloration miraculously disappear leaving behind completely clean walls.

The key to MacCannell’s cleaning hack is the extended handle broom. While sure, you can clean your walls with cloth rags or sponges, you’ll eventually need a ladder to reach the upper portions, and you’ll definitely need to get down on your hands and knees for the base. With MacCannell’s clever idea, though, the duster takes care of it all. Yes, you can buy her exact one below.

Get your walls spotless.

The next time you’re planning your cleaning to-do list, don’t dread adding your walls to it. This hack will take care of a lot of the work.
