Amanda is the Managing Editor for LifeSavvy and Staff Copy Editor for the LifeSavvy Media's sites. She edits articles, manages the daily schedule for the site, and collaborates with the writing staff to maintain and improve content quality. She originally joined the team in 2019 as the Staff Copy Editor for the How-to Geek, Review Geek, and LifeSavvy sites.
Amanda’s career in publishing started at NAPA in 2004, where she was the marketing copy editor and copywriter. At Wiley Publishing (home of the iconic Dummies brand), she was a Development Editor and project lead on dozens of educational and How-to technology books, including many titles in the Portable Genius and Digital Field Guide series.
Her dozens of freelance writing and editing projects have included fiction, self-help, and textbook manuscripts, book jacket and website copy, and marketing materials. She has a bachelor’s in journalism from Indiana University.
In her spare time, Amanda still edits the occasional manuscript for select clients and writes stories that have absolutely nothing to do with technology.
