Meghan is a writer from Western New York (“the part with all the cows and the snow,” in her words) who is now based out of the greater DC area. She’s written across a wide variety of topics, genres, and formats, including radio talk shows, local sports journalism, and creative original fiction.
Her writing career began as an undergraduate student at Ithaca College, where she wrote regular articles for two different hockey blogs and helped to run their social media pages. She forayed into the world of radio for a time, writing talk shows, news clips, and sports updates for her college’s radio stations.
After receiving her bachelor’s degree in communications from Ithaca College, she went on to work as a freelance journalist for her hometown paper before going on to get her master’s in writing from Johns Hopkins University, where she studied both fiction and nonfiction writing. During her master’s program, she worked as a freelance editor and later spent some time as an audio transcript editor for national news shows.
When she’s not writing, you’re most likely to find her reading a book, petting every dog within eyesight, practicing her French, and indulging in her love of travel both in and out of the United States.
